By Duane Bonifer
Director of Public Relations, Lindsey Wilson College
COLUMBIA, Ky.The Lindsey Wilson College community will hold its third-annual appreciation luncheon for the area's veterans on Wednesday, November 9, 2005.

The luncheon begins at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday, November 9, in Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center.

Sponsored by the Lindsey Wilson National Alumni Association, there is no cost for veterans, veterans' spouses, or veterans' widows or widowers to attend the luncheon.

The purpose of the luncheon "is to recognize and give thanks to everyone in our community who has served our country," said Vice President for Student Services & Enrollment Management Dean Adams.

Third consecutive year for school to sponsor luncheon

"This is the third consecutive year we have sponsored this luncheon, and it's quickly become a Lindsey Wilson tradition," Adams said. "We feel it's such an important thing to do annually because our students need to be reminded of the men and women who have sacrificed so much to make this country great."

In addition to the luncheon, the program will include remarks by a local veteran and Lindsey Wilson officials. Veterans should RSVP by calling Lindsey Wilson at (270) 384-8400.
