Leonard Wayne Burton, 65, Liberty, KY (1957-2023) Leonard Wayne Burton of Liberty passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his home. He was 65 years old. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown & Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11amET to 2pmET on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on April 24, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late James O. and Darlene Wells Burton. Leonard was a truck driver. He attended Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Martin Burton; a son, Kenneth Cody Wayne (Melissa) Burton; a daughter, Brandy (Jeremy) Carman; two step-sons, Brian (Jaime) Moran and Tim (Tonya) Moran; two step-daughters, Kitty (Randy Edwards) Paris and Stephanie (Jeremy Ayres) Moran; a grandchild, Emmalynn Carman; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Darrell Ray Burton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Dallas James "Jimmy" Burton; a sister, Tiffany Kitchens; and his maternal grandparents that raised him, Cecil Ambrose and Esther Mae Thompson Wells. Pallbearers will be James Burton, Travis Burton, Brian Moran, Dewayne Burton, Michael Farmer, and Bruce Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Woods, Phillip Chapman, and Mike Hatter.
