Homeplace winter meeting program held Saturday

Homeplace on Green River held its 2023 Winter Board Meeting Program at the Adair County Extension Office Saturday, January 21, 2023.

The guest speaker was CEO, and President of Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, Mr. Maynard Crossland. He brought encouragement and many ideas for the group to help strengthen the Homeplace future.



The meeting was Called to order and the large crowd was Welcomed by Billy Joe Fudge, President. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Taylor County 4-H Livestock Club Member, Colby Patterson.

Blessing of the meal and meeting was given by Pastor Michael Caldwell, Vice President. After Dinner, served with many thanks to caterer Mary Williams, Board Members, nominees, partners, and friends were introduced by Lyn Stanton, Program Director.

A 2023 Preview, including a preview of the upcoming Capital Campaign, Growing on the Farm, was presented. It includes: Festivals, Homesteading Conference, Trail Race, Goat Program, Rentals and space improvements.

HGR Board gathers for winter program

Youngest guest at Homeplace winter program

Spencer Feltner was the youngest guest attending the Homeplace on Green River 2023 Winter Meeting Saturday. His age group is among the students who get to learn about farm life in the various programs offered, especially the goat program.

Shaker Village CEO offers advice to HGR leaders
