Snow can't be ruled out The National Weather Service in Louisville issued the following Special Weather Statement this morning, Friday, January 14, 2023, for an area that includes Adair and surrounding counties: "Scattered snow showers are expected through late evening across much of southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Although many locations will see a dusting or less, some narrow swaths of more persistent snow could lead to light accumulations between a half an inch and 1 inch. The most likely locations for the higher totals would be toward the I-75 corridor, but a few localized areas of up to 1 inch snow accumulations can't be ruled out anywhere east of a French Lick, Indiana to Bowling Green, Kentucky line. Snow showers are expected to begin by the end of the morning commute. Although air and road temperatures should be above freezing, use caution if traveling today in case of minor accumulations due to moderate snowfall rates."
