ACHS Marching Band Mom sends letter of thanks to all for support

Dear Editor and people of Adair,

I would like to say a BIG Thank You to the members of my community. Theweekend of October 22nd was made unforgettable for all of the peopleassociated with the Adair County Band and especially the kids. I feel blessed tobe in a county that supports the efforts of its young people, so overwhelmingly.

So let me try and thank all of you!

**The media is wonderful to work with, here online in the magazine, the newspaper, radio, and all. The people turned out in droves to cheer on the band.

**The Businesses that support the band, and let us put up signs and even putgood wishes on their marquees are a blessing.

**The people here are the best. Everyone turned out in groves to cheer on theband. I dont think there were very many people left in Adair County Saturday night(WKUs stadium was full of Adair countians), and many that came out during acold drizzle to welcome the students back home.

**Community workers are terrific. As we were escorted out of town at an early6:30 AM, fire trucks, emergency vehicles, police cars, and the like led us. I wason the Senior Bus and the eyes of each band member were full of excitement, and I will admit that the adults were teary eyed. As, we came back into town evenmore Vehicles, lights and sirens were in use.

** Orvis Grider, youre the best.

The students and adults that are a part of the Adair County Band realize thatwithout this kind of support, they would not be as successful. Again, anyone andevery one who had a part small or great in supporting the Adair County Band.THANK YOU!

Gratefully,Proud Adair County Band Parents and Adair Residents
