Mary Margaret Hill, 92, Adair Co., KY native (1930-2023) Mary Margaret Hill of Buford, GA passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her residence. She was 92 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 10amCT at the Funeral Home. She was born in Lula, KY on October 14, 1930, to the late Otha and Laura Bowlin Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Horace W. Hill. She was a member of the First Church of God in Lafayette, IN and later attended Lake Wales Church of God in Lake Wales, FL before moving to Buford, GA. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping, spending time at their lake house and going out on the pontoon, the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring mom, wife, and friend, and to know her was to love her. Survivors include two children Danny J. Hill and Juanita Hill Curry (J. Glen) both of Buford, GA; a grandson Bret W. Hill of Monticello, IN; a sister-in-law Ruby Smith of Columbia, KY; a brother-in-law Harold "Peck" Hill of Edmonton, KY and several other friends and relatives. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings Lloyd, Arnold, Lawrence, Ira, Lucy, Gene, and Walter.
