Danny Isbell, 75, Russell Springs, KY (1947-2023) Danny Isbell of Russell Springs passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Russell County Hospital. He was 75 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 10amCT on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Brother Christian Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery, with full military honors by the Russell County DAV. Visitation will be held from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Bernard Funeral Home. Born on March 25, 1947, in Walton, Kentucky, he was a son of the late James Daniel and Alma Ray Grider Isbell. Danny was a US Army veteran and a member of the Russell Springs First Baptist Church. Danny was also a former member of the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department and a school bus driver. He was an avid UK Basketball fan, loved listening to country music and eating lunch at Esto Country Store & Cafe. Danny is survived by his sons, Robbie (and Melanie) Isbell of Glasgow and Eric Isbell of Jamestown; and his grandchildren, Asher Isbell, Layla Isbell, Asa Isbell, Nikola Isbell, and Remy Isbell. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen Snow Isbell, who passed away on June 22, 2016; his brothers, James Daniel Isbell and David Lewis Isbell; and his sisters, Alma Louise Krueger and Ruth Ann Bottom. Pallbearers are Asher Isbell, Denver Rose, Mark Rose, Charles Smith, Mike Sexton, and Matt Sexton. Honorary pallbearers are Asa Isbell, Nikola Isbell, and Remy Isbell.
