Sheriff will mail tax bills October 31, 2005 Discounts for November 2005 payments; regular rates in December 2005; penalites imposed for 2005 payments in 2006. The 2005 Property Tax Bills will be mailed October 31, 2005, according to the office of Adair County Sheriff Steve Cheatham.The sheriff says that if you do not receive your tax bill by early next week - the week of Monday October 31, 2005 - you should contact the Sheriff's Office. "While the Sheriff's Office makes every effort to get our bill to you, mail delivery cannot be guaranteed," the Sheriff said. He added, "Not receiving your bill does not relieve you of any tax liability or penalties. Payment dates, discounts, and penalties outlined:
