Appointments made at City Council meeting

City of Columbia Mayor Pamela Hoots announced her appointments to the LCADD, Housing Authority, City Attorney and Mayor Pro Tem positions at the January 03, 2023 regular meeting.

Sharon Payne was re-appointed to the Lake Cumberland Area Development District where she served as Chair last year

Aaron Labarge was re-appointed to the Housing Authority

Phyllis Payne was newly appointed to the Housing Authority

Derrick Helm was re-appointed as City Attorney

Dr. Ronald Rogers was reappointed to the position of Mayor Pro Tem

City Council opens first meeting of 2023

The Columbia City Council held its first meeting of 2023 on Tuesday, January third since the holiday fell on the regular schedule of first Monday. Two new council members were welcomed and appointments were made. A bid was approved which will allow landscape architect Darren Henson to move ahead with the walking path at the Citizens Park on Burkesville Street. Pictured from left are: council members Dr. Ronald Rogers, Robert Flowers and Mark Harris; City Clerk Woody Sharpe, Mayor Pamela Hoots, City Attorney Derrick Helm; and council members Sharon Payne, Hannah Peck and Rhonda Loy.
