Strong derecho or sustained winds? By Veronica Arnold At around 1:42pm in the Fairplay area there was a low sustained rumbling that started sounding like thunder but then sustained for what could have been several thunder claps together. I asked other residents in area who heard it also. Curious if anyone else heard it or knows what it was. Anyone sustain damage from it? A derecho, which is a line of straight winds, could be possible with the big storm system blowing through. Thoughts? Use the CM Contact Form to send a reply.
