Suzanne Hancock, 81, Greensburg, KY (1941-2022)

Mildred Suzanne Hancock of Greensburg departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 81 years old.

The funeral services for Suzanne Hancock will be conducted at 2pmCT on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Todd Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 11amCT on Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.


Mildred Suzanne Hancock, daughter of the late Otha Lee Shuffett and Catherine Moore Shuffett, was born on Tuesday, June 3, 1941 in Green County.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church. After 27 years, she retired as a teacher from the Green County School System.

Survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Morgan Hancock of Greensburg having united in marriage on June 25, 1960.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Stan Henderson of Tennessee, and Trina and Trent Ford of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Erin McEarl and husband, Will, Kacey Edwards and husband, Justin all of Tennessee, Quenton Ford and wife, Emmalee of Campbellsville, and Lexie Ford of Greensburg; six great-grandchildren: Blakely, Bryce, Islay, Mack, Tavi, and Truman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hancock was also preceded in death by her step-mother: Sallie Shuffett.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Liberty Separate Baptist Church, which can be made at the funeral home.
