Burdis McDonald Burress, 95, Taylor County, KY

Burdis McDonald Burress, 95, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, daughter of the late Granville and Ophilla Tungate McDonald was born June 19, 1927, in Taylor County and departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

She professed her faith in Christ and attended Feathersburg First Church of God. She was a homemaker and farm wife. She loved working with flowers and enjoyed gardening.



Mrs. Burress united in marriage to Lester Wallace Burress, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2017.

She is survived by:

Four children: Jerry Burress and wife, Edith; Freddy Burress and wife, Patty; Henry Burress; and Inetta Childress and husband, Larry, all of Elkhorn.

Three brothers: BuelDean McDonald and his wife, Evelyn; David McDonald and his wife, Frances; and George Richard McDonald and his wife, Diane.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Roger Burress and Steve Burress.

Four brothers and two sisters: Vonald McDonald, Nicholas McDonald, Merline McDonald, Gracie Brown, Phillip McDonald, and Joseph McDonald.

VISITATION: Wednesday, December 28th, 2022, from 11amET-2pm time of the funeral service at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
