Plaques, Markers -Plaque at Greensburg hospital honors Adair Countian Dr. George C. Cheatham was a member of 1954-55 Adair County Indians, Kentucky State Tournament Runner-Up's, Men's Basketball; he practiced medicine in Greensburg, KY; son Lyle is Mayor of Greensburg Photo of commemorative plaque accompanies this story A plaque in the hallway at the Greensburg, KY, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital honors George C. Cheatham, M.D., who grew up in Columbia and who attended Columbia and Adair County Schools. He was the son of the late Bob and Eva Cheatham of Columbia, and the father of Lyle Cheatham, former Columbia businessman and present Mayor of Greensburg. George Cheatham was an important member of the Adair County State Tournament runners-up in 1955. The plaque reads: George C. Cheatham, M.D., 1936-2000 A color portrait of Dr. Cheatham is displayed next to the plaque. Jane Todd Crawford Hospital is now managed by the Westlake Healthcare Team, Columbia, KY.
