Olive Lowe, 76, co-owner Lowe Drugs, Christian Church member

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2005 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home for Olive Richard Lowe, wife of John D. Lowe III, of Columbia. She passed away this morning after several months illness. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, October 23.

The daughter of the late Homer and Eula Barker Richard of Jamestown, she is survived by:
  • One daughter Connie Babakian and husband Fred of Nashville, TN

  • One grandchild, Amy Woodard and husband Duane of Nashville, TN

  • One brother, Arlo Richard of Macon, GA
With her husband John D. Lowe III, Mrs. Lowe owned and operated Lowe's Drug and later Madison Square Drug in Columbia from the late 50s to 1994.

She was a member of the Columbia Christian Church where she served as financial secretary and a longtime member of the Benevolence Ministry Team.

She was a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College.

Bro. Terry White and Bro. Raymond Martin will officiate at the Monday morning service.

Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Columbia Christian Church Debt Retirement Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
