Bobby Beard, 82, Adair Co., KY (1939-2022) Bobby Gene Beard of the Pellyton Community of Adair County passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at his residence. He was 82 years old. Graveside services will be held at NoonCT on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Barnett's Creek Cemetery. Bro. Larry Lemmon and Bro. Troy Long will be officiating. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Nellie Cox Beard as well as his parents Samuel Edward and Mary J. Simpson Beard and his infant sister Linda Faye Beard. Bobby was born on December 30, 1939, in Eunice, KY. He and his wife served the Pellyton community through Beards Grocery for nearly 30 years. He had a passion for farming, which included cattle and tobacco, he also peddled gates across the Midwest. He loved his sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all his heart, as well as a special bond and relationship with his sister Peggy. Survivors include two sons Troy Beard (Myra) of Shepherdsville, KY and Chris Beard (April) of Pellyton; a sister Peggy Rich (Malcolm) of Barnett's Creek; seven grandchildren Lance Beard (Lindsay) of Floyds Knobs, IN, Caylee Riley (Josh) of Jacksonville, FL, Wade Beard (Anna) of Pellyton, Alec Beard of Pellyton, Cole Beard of Bowling Green, KY, Noah Beard (Sarah Kate) of Fort Riley, KS, and David Adams of Pellyton; four great-grandchildren Hudson, Hannah, Ransom, and Lauren Beard; one aunt and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and many old friends. Pallbearers will be Lance Beard, Caylee Riley, Wade Beard, Alec Beard, Cole Beard, Noah Beard, and David Adams. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Barnett's Creek Cemetery c/o Bryan Rich P.O.
