Myrtle Faye Godbey, 69, Liberty, KY (1953-2022)

Myrtle Faye Godbey of Liberty passed away on Saturday December 17, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1pmET on Wednesday December 21, 2022, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Chuck Woodcock officiating. Burial will be in the Valley Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at 11amET on Wednesday December 21, 2022, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.


She was born March 22nd, 1953, in Wilmore, KY, a daughter of the late William Harvey McKinney and Rosie Myrtle Laws McKInney.

Myrtle was a C.N.A.

Survivors include: Her Spouse: Norman Godbey, Five Children: James McCarty of Lexington, William Henry McCarty of Liberty, Ramonia Hope Moon of Liberty, Terry Lynn Barnett of Liberty and Norman Allan Godbey of Danville, Eleven Grandchildren, Thirteen Great Grandchildren, Two Sisters: Jean Rogers of Indiana and Freda Lamb of Winchester and One Brother: Howard Lamb of Irvine.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was Seven Siblings: Ollie Buckham, Raymond Rogers, Betty Golden, John Douglas, Bill McKinney, Ollie McKinney, and Lucy Martin.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Bartle Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
