Frances H. Wolford, 79, Columbia, KY (1943-2022) Frances H. (Coomer) Wolford of Columbia passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was 79 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday after 9amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Adair County on January 10, 1943, to the late Brack and Mary Lucy Sneed Coomer. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn "Geary" Wolford. Mrs. Wolford was a member of the Jones Chapel Church and a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter #835. Survivors include a sister-in-law Joan Coomer of Glasgow, KY; brothers-in-law Randall Wolford (Nelda June) of Louisville, KY, and Alton "Tom" Wolford (Carol) of Shepherdsville, KY and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Ann Wolford, a brother James Claudus Coomer, a sister-in-law Judith Wolford and two brothers-in-law Eugene and Almon Wolford.
