Anthony D. (Boo) Mitchell, 60, Taylor Co., KY native (1962-2022)

Anthony Dwayne "Boo" Mitchell of Greensburg passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Campbellsville. He was 60 years old.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10amCT on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Ministers: Rev. Stefan Taylor, Eulogy and Rev. Melvin Mills, Master of Ceremony

Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 7pmCT on Monday, December 12, 2022, and after 7amCT until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.


Anthony Dwayne "Boo" Mitchell was born October 13, 1962 in Taylor County, KY to the late Paul M. Mitchell and Margie Lee Thornton Mitchell.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg. He worked at Ingersoll Rand for 20 plus years. He was an avid University of Louisville fan. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Steven Mitchell and one grandson: Damontay Majors, JR.

He is survived by four sons: Ryan Johnson of Campbellsville, Andree Johnson of Glasgow, Ontrell Mitchell of Scottsville and Lamonte Clayton of Campbellsville, two daughters: Tangie Hardin of Campbellsville and Eboni England of Louisville, two brothers: Paul Allen Mitchell and Billy Gene Mitchell of Campbellsville, two sisters: Sheila Owens of Campbellsville and Deborah Cowherd of Greensburg, his special aunt: Nora (Kitti) Thornton of Indianapolis, Indiana and uncle: James "Mann" Thornton of Greensburg, a host of grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
