Virginia Ann Swords, 91, Jamestown, KY (1931-2022)

Virginia Ann Swords of Jamestown passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 91 years old.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Dennis Price officiating.

Friends may visit from NoonCT until the time of service on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.


Virginia was born in Lima, OH on May 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Edna (Carnes) and Virgil Patten.

Virginia is survived by:
  • Two daughters, Velina Swords, of Jamestown, KY, and Belinda Parker, of Texas
  • A son, Hale Swords, of Jamestown, KY
  • Two grandchildren, Madison Swords and Jason Parker
  • Two great-grandchildren, Lance and Bonnie Parker
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband David Swords and a sister Donna Vance.
