Jo Pescosolido, 84, Berea, KY (1938-2022) Jo Day Pescosolido passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was 84 years old. Funeral services will be held at 5pmET on Thursday December 8, 2022, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home, 616 Chestnut St., Berea, KY, with Rev. Steven R. Pescosolido officiating. Visitation will be from 4pmET until service time at the funeral home. Jo Pescosolido was born Oct. 2, 1938, in Grand Rapids, MN, daughter of Robert and Mary Day of Nebraska. She attended the College of William & Mary where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She married Richard Pescosolido in 1958 and lived in Cape Cod, MA for 31 years. Then they moved to Kentucky to be near their granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Jim. She is survived by her husband Richard of Berea, KY, her daughter Gina of Berea, KY, son Steven and his wife Karen of Columbia, KY, granddaughters, Kristina J. Jayne and her husband Colton, Julie K. Caywood and her husband Clint, Rachel J. Byrd and her husband Nate, grandson, Michael Pescosolido, brother, Robert Day, and his wife Candy Toler of Winston Salem, NC, and great grandchildren, Kamden, Lexie, Caleb, Reagan, Ezra, Kara, and Ellis. She was a nurse for 20 years, going back to school for nursing at age 40. She was also committee chairperson for the Boy Scout troop in Pocasset, MA, for several years, and very active in the ECHO Retreat Program for high school students. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org Davis and Powell Funeral Home in Berea is in charge of arrangements.
