Paul Frankum, 88, World War II Veteran and farmer

Services will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 1 p.m. for Paul Frankum of the Fairplay community who passed away Sunday after several months illness.

He was the son of the late Martin Luther and Mary Ethel Loy Frankum and was preceded in death by his wife Elia Christine Taylor Frankum in 1990.

He is survived by:
  • One daughter Janet Talley and her husband Damon of Hodgenville

  • One brother Delphus Frankum of Fairplay

  • Two sisters Helen Thomas of Bardstown and Lena Wheatley of Madisonville, KY

  • One granddaughter Jennifer and husband Robby Noffsinger
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Luther Owen, Robert Ores, Buel Hogard and Samuel Elbert Frankum, and by one sister Doris Kassem.

Mr. Frankum was a member of the Columbia Church of Christ and a retired farmer and Veteran of World War II.

Dean Roach will officiate at the Wednesday afternoon service with interment in the Loy Cemetery at Fairplay.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and anytime on Wednesday.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center, 2050 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504-1499.
