Rickey Lynn Oakes, 56, Greensburg, KY (1966-2022)

Mr. Ricky Lynn Oakes of Greensburg passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. He was 56 years old.

Graveside services for Mr. Ricky Oakes will be conducted at 2pmCT on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Pink Ridge Cemetery in Metcalfe County.


Ricky Lynn Oakes, son of Margaret Oakes and the late Lyndell Oaks, was born on August 1, 1966 in Barren County, Kentucky.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a lumber grader.

Besides his mother, Margaret Oakes of Greensburg, survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Twyla and Kyle Jessie, Mandy and Curtis DeWeese all of Edmonton, and Anna and Jeremy Fields of Tompkinsville; six grandchildren: Hailey Jessie, Isaiah Jessie, Zackary Fields, Wyatt Fields, Aubrey DeWeese and Luna DeWeese; one brother: J.D. Oakes of Washington; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Spunky Wheeler, Jeremy Fields, Curtis DeWeese, Kyle Jessie, Tyler Hutton and Collin Crumpton
