Phillip Coffey: Chartering His Course

CHARTERING HIS COURSE by Phillip Coffey

He started chartering his course among the Pharisees when he was twelve
In the most holy of places doing his Father's work.
Answering all their questions simply- derived from the Holy Scriptures of old.
An Angel standing near his gravesite saying to the Christ seekers nearby,
"Why do you seek the living among the Dead?"

While living he raised a few from death - a little girl and Lazarus as we all know.
Took care of those plagued with many diseases including the most feared touching - Leprosy.
Some that were raised upright to walking from being crippled - immobile since birth.
Others that were blind - miraculously healed, placing clay on their eyes.
Sending them off in a new defined direction leading a new mission.

His reply as to Caeser's or God's supremacy was simplified -'Render to each what is due'.
Question among the living - Shall the government be adhered to with questions of
Conscience be involved if God's calling be true?
If there are ageless perils among many of us, should not Christ followers take the lead
To solve the needs of the poor, misguided, afflicted until the end - not Cesear.
