School supplies sent to Katrina-displaced students in Paducah, KY, well received

"They kept saying, this is just for us? They did this just for us?"
Gail Milligan, organizer of the drive to collect school supplies to help students in Paducah, KY, has received an email from Paducah today, Thursday, October, 6, 2005, after the supplies had been distributed.

It read:,
Gail,

Just wanted you to know that when the students came to my room to get their supplies you brought, they were beside themselves. It was when I told them that your school had donated all these supplies just for them, they couldn't believe the amount collected. They kept saying, this is just for us? They did this just for us?

Thanks again. I wish you could have seen their faces (it would have made your long drive here and back home really worth while!).
Susan
