RTC gives children's book to every ACPC student

Adair County Primary Center is celebrating Kentucky School Safety Week with guests each day during Morning Assembly. Tuesday the students were given the special gift of a children's book, "Police Officers, Our Friends!" written by Eddie Montgomery and R.G. Graham, thanks to longtime Columbia business Rogers Trucking Company.

Lesha Breeding, one of the owners of RTC, reached out to Sheriff Josh Brockman about their company sponsoring the costs of getting a copy of the book into the hands of every ACPC student - all 675 of them!

She said she was remembering the hard work and sacrifices of her Dad and Mom who founded and developed the company over the years she and her siblings were growing up. Lesha said the family is so proud of their contribution that has lasted and grown strong enough to share this gift.

Montgomery introduced the book and spoke with the children who cheered wildly and then Graham read it while the pages were shown on the screen.

Officers from the Sheriff's Department, Columbia Police Department, and Kentucky State Police were there to help pass out the books and spend the morning with the kids.
