Carol McQueary, 87, Casey Co., KY native (1935-2022) Carol McQueary of Casey County passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was 87 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmET on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11amET to 2pmET on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. It is with profound grief we announce the passing of our mother, friend, and protector: Carol McQueary. Born April 4, 1935, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Orien Estill Rich and Linnie Barger Rich. Carol is preceded in death by the love of her life, Gilbert F. McQueary, who passed away on April 5, 2002. Survivors include her three children, Linda (and David) Payton of Hustonville, Julie Graham of Liberty, and Whitney McQueary (and Veronica) of Corbin; her grandchildren, Corey (and Phil) Williams of Lexington, Nikki (and Kevin Atwood) of Liberty, Tyler Graham of Liberty, and Chance McQueary of Windsor; and one sister, Patricia Foryste Downey of Moreland. She also leaves behind a precious great-granddaughter, Easton Atwood and a precious great-grandson, Korbin Atwood. Pallbearers will be Phillip Graham, Phil Williams, Kevin Atwood, Chance McQueary, Tyler Graham, David McKinney, and David Payton. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Atwood and Scottie Lynn. Carol loved all animals so in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ASPCA. Arrangements are entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with online guestbook available at www.mckinneybrown.com.
