Billie Sue Perkins, 77, Adair Co., KY native (1945-2022)

Billie Sue (Callahan) Perkins of Elkhorn passed away on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 77 years old.

The family requests family only at the visitation and the funeral service. Thank you for understanding their wishes. Cremation will follow the funeral service.


Billie Sue Perkins was born August 12th, 1945, in Adair County, Kentucky, to the late Lester Fredrick and Mary Lee Callahan.

She was a retired office manager and was self-employed. Mrs. Perkins professed faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a caring sister.

She was united in marriage to her husband, Delbert Perkins, on March 17th, 1962, who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by:
  • One daughter: LaRonda Perkins Vella and husband, Michael from Adair County, KY.
  • Two brothers: Junior Jennings and wife, Sharon of Illinois and Ronnie Callahan of Greensburg.
  • One sister: Connie Burress and husband, Jimmy of Elkhorn.
  • Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Danny Ray Bailey and Juanita Tucker.
