Joelene Sallee, 84, Casey Co., KY native (1938-2022) Joelene Sallee, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Loveland Health Care Center. She was 84 years old. The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Pastor Rick Sallee and Pastor Travis Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from NoonET until 2pmET on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on March 26, 1938, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Louie and Margie Hatfield Ellis. Joelene was a homemaker. She was a member of Cozaddale Baptist Temple and a former member of First Baptist Church of Liberty. She taught Sunday School, enjoyed quilting, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Joelene is survived by two sons, Rick (Lydia) Sallee of Fayetteville, Ohio and Bryan Sallee (Chad Rohr) of Canton, Ohio; a daughter, Vicki (Jeff) Clephane of Cincinnati; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother, Larry Ellis of Casey County; and three sisters, Louise Holtzclaw of Casey County, Geraldine (Murrell) Pierce of Louisville, and Gail Ellis of Casey County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Floyd Sallee, who passed away on March 28, 2001; and three brothers, Bob Ellis, Gary Ellis, and Lewis Ellis. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hope Baptist Church at 511 Olden Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
