Billy Forrest Black, 90, Burkesville, KY (1932-2022) Mr. Billy Forrest Black of Burkesville passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his residence. He was 90 years old. The funeral service will be conducted at 1pmCT on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY, with Deacon Michael Bryant officiating, with military honors. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2022 after 5pmCT, until the funeral hour on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. He was born on Thursday, February 04, 1932, in Allen County, Kentucky the son of Forrest Reid and Mary Hazel (White) Black. He was a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force, having served in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gloria Joyce (Ivey) Black, whom he wed on Saturday, December 05, 1953, and a sister, Julia Faye Black. He is survived by his children, Ricky (& Brenda) Black of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Carl (& Karen) Black of Burkesville, Kentucky, Matthew Black of Gallatin, Tennessee, sister, Barbara (Black) Wilson, grandchildren, Kristina (& Robert) Capps, Courtney Black, Kelsey Black, Jarod Black, Nicole Black, great-grandchildren, Ariana Black, Brayden Black, Sophie Black, Jaslynn Black, Cadence Capps, step-great granddaughter, Kali Capps, step-great-great grandchild, Hendrix Capps, along with a host of other family members and many friends.
