Join us for Walktober this October as we Walk for a Healthier Life! It is free and open to everyone! Register now at www.LCDHD.org or call to inquire at 800-928-4416 Ext 1158.

During the month of October, complete at least 3 designated routes of your choice. Visit our website for more information on areas to walk! In Adair County, the walking/hiking trails are:
  • Columbia Veterans Memorial Park Trail: Distance is 2 laps equal 1 mile. Trail is open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk.

  • Jim Blair Recreational Park Walking Track: Distance is 2 laps makes 1 mile. Track is open 7 days a week from dawn until dusk.
Once you have registered, and completed one walk, go to your local health department and pick up a hiking stick and a cooling towel (while supplies last*).

As you complete a route, take a selfie at the location. Write a caption, telling us if this is your first, second or third completed route. Post it using #LCDHDWalktober22

*You must register in order to receive prizes, and you must be 18 years or older to receive prizes. Limit 4 per household.
