Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr., 37, Campbellsville, KY (1985-2022) The funeral service for Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr., will be held at 1pmET on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY, with Micah Sears officiating. Cremation will follow. The family requests visitation after 11amET on Saturday until time for the service. Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr., passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 in Campbellsville. He was 37 years old. Joshua Doyle Simpson, Sr., the son of Carol Jean (Simpson) Brown and the late Doyle Eugene Waymon, was born January 14, 1985 in Taylor County, KY. He was a mold setter for Wilbert Plastics in Lebanon and was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include his mother: Carol Jean Brown; his children: Joshua Simpson, Jr., Jacob Eugene Simpson, Kenzie Negron, Zehavah Negron, Elyjah Steward; his brothers: Brandon Brown, Trent Waymon and fiance Heather Blakenship and Micah Sears; a nephew: Ryan Sears; his fiance: Kari Bottoms and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Billy Ray "Goat" Brown and a sister: Tara Simpson Lamer. Memorials are suggested to the funeral expense fund, which can be made at the funeral home. L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.lrpetty.com.
