Rachel Bernice Hedgespeth, 85, Green County, KY Rachel Bernice Hedgespeth of Greensburg, daughter of the late Raymond Bishop, Ruth Simpson Bishop Ferguson and stepfather, Erbie Ferguson was born on Thursday, December 17, 1936 in Green County and departed this life on August 19, 2022. She was 85 years, eight months, and two days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked for many years in the dietary department for the Green County School System. Survived by her husband of 68 years, Rollin "Joe B." Hedgespeth of Green County having united in marriage on December 26, 1953. Other survivors include three sons and one daughter: Wayne Hedgespeth and his wife, Sherry , Sam Hedgespeth and his wife, Crystal, Dan Hedgespeth and his wife, Angie, and Tammy Baker and her husband, Lemuel all of Greensburg; two sisters: Fay Conley of Greensburg and Nancy Dix of Campbellsville; two brothers: Gary Ferguson and Ken Ferguson both of Greensburg; grandchildren: Charles Hedgespeth and his wife, Amy, Jake Hedgespeth and his fiance, Jessica Dengal, Jeremy Baker and his fiance, Jamie Barber, Phillip Baker and his wife, Jessica, Andrew Hedgespeth, Ivy Hedgespeth, Gavin Gossage, Maggie Gossage, Seth Hedgespeth and his wife, Becca, and Kali Gupton and her husband, Cody; and ten great grandchildren. The Funeral Services for Rachel Hedgespeth will be conducted at 1pmCT on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ladies Chapel Cemetery in Green County. Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Wilburn Bonta officiating. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Baptist Medical and Dental Missions International which can be made at the funeral home.
