Melody Boward, Taylor County, KY (1950-2022) Melody Boward of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan on June 5, 1950 to the late Gerry and Jean (Baule) Williams, she was 72 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. She was a retired mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed traveling and raising flowers, and loved her jewelry and the jewelry club. She leaves to mourn her passing: Her husband: Richard Boward, Four children: Laura Dillow and husband Jamie of Ohio, James Lipps and wife Letha of Campbellsville, Chad Beardslee of Michigan, and Richard Boward of Michigan, Two siblings: Famie Coats and husband Ron of Mississippi, and Kathy Vansickle of Canada, Twelve grandchildren, Three great-grandchildren, One expectant great-grandchild, And a host of other family members and friends. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by four siblings: Paul, Vernon, Gary, and Pat. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Boward on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. David Young will officiate. Cremation will be accorded her following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 23, from 11amET until time for the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to Jaida's Paws Animal Rescue or the Galilean Children's Home. Those can be made in person at the funeral home. L.R.
