Adair Co. Extension Service Can Opener Drive From Dylan Gentry In honor of Sue Stivers, the Adair County Homemakers are collecting can openers to benefit those in need in Eastern Kentucky. Sue was an excellent supporter of the community, always giving back. In this same spirit, the Adair County Homemakers have determined that flood recovery would be a worthy cause to honor her. Manual can openers can be dropped off at the extension office from August 8 through August 11, 2022. The can openers will be delivered to Breathitt County on August 12 to be distributed. Can openers that can be used easily by senior citizens are preferred. You may call (270) 384-2317 with any questions. Donations can be brought by Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY, any time from Monday, August 8 until Thursday, August 11, 2022.
