Thelma Cravens, 73, former Col. Wm. Casey Cook

Funeral services will be held at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 1 p.m. for Mrs. Thelma Cravens of the Ozark community. She passed away Sunday at Westlake Regional Hospital emergency room after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Dee and Rosie Campbell Grant of Adair County and was preceded in death by her husband James Donval Cravens and by two sons, Alvin, and an infant, Charles.

Survivors include:
  • One son, Jackie Cravens and his wife Nancy of Columbia
  • Two daughters: Shirley Lawrence and her husband Jim of Columbia, and Barbara Bundy and her husband Les of Arlington, KY
  • One brother, Donald "Buck" Campbell and wife Donata, of Columbia
  • One sister, Mary Lee Harden and husband Kenneth of Shepherdsville, KY
  • Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren
She was a member of the Freedom Church of God and was employed as a cook at the Col. Wm. Casey Elementary School for several years in addition to being a lifetime homemaker.

Rev. Carlie Riggs will officiate at the Tuesday afternoon service with interment in the Freedom Cemetery.

The family requests visitation after 4 p.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home.
