Nancy Dixon, 94, Knifley, KY (1928-2022)

Nancy Dixon of Knifley passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in Campbellsville. She was 94 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 2pmET on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Bro. David Book and Bro. Jordan Burton. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Nancy Dixon of Knifley, daughter of the late Omer Humphress and Nell Hamilton Humphress was born May 21, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Knifley Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.

Nancy was a retired employee of Fruit of the loom where she had worked for twenty eight years.

She united in marriage to Wayne Dixon in June 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death July 19, 1997.

Nancy is survived by one son and three daughters: Paul Dixon and wife, Barbara of Knifley, Brenda Warren of Campbellsville; Jolinda Kay Hughes and husband, Donnie of Elkhorn, and Patty Bunch and husband, Donnie of Glensfork; nine grandchildren: Dennis Draper and wife, Tina, Danelle Coomer and husband, David, and Tim Draper and wife, Angie of Campbellsville; Stuart Hughes and wife, Shannon of Elkhorn, Robin Lewis and husband, Brandon, and Steve Dixon and wife, Missy of Columbia, Brandon Warren and wife, Ginger of Lawrenceburg, Georganna Grant of Harrodsburg, and Mark Hughes of Florida, Nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Billie Joe Humphress and wife, Edith of Campbellsville, and Karen Overstreet and husband, Eugene of California; one son-in-law, Richard Draper; one sister-in-law, Frances Humphress of Silver Grove; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Draper, one granddaughter, Jennifer Coffey; son-in-law, Larry K. Warren; five brothers and three sisters: O.L. Humphress, Wallace Humphress, Louis Humphress, Alan Humphress, Llyn Humphress, Katherine Humphress, Morna Eastridge, and Dell Wade.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
