Salvation Army active in Adair for Hurricane Katrina victims

Bro. Bill Davenport, local disaster and emergency coordinator for the Salvation Army, says that there are 12 known Hurricane Katrina victims who will be coming to make their homes with generous Adair and Russell Countians. There are 500 victims on their way to Louisville. He says that everyone who wants to help is needed and welcome to join the local effort.

Bro. Davenport is retired from his ministry at Trinity United Methodist Church but he is active in the Salvation Army and is also teaching a little bit at Lindsey and he speaks at churches when and where he is needed to fill in for other pastors.

Leaders who work with him in the local Salvation Army unit are: Paula Garrison, Lisa Rucker, Gerald Reliford, Jaime Feese, Kim McGaha, Mikki Page, Debbie Cowan, Marsha Walker and Ellen Zornes.
