Emogene Miller, 70, retired Cundiff merchant Emogene Miller, 70, 2776 Melson Ridge Road, Columbia, KY (the Cundiff community), died Saturday, September 3, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at her residence. The memorial service will be Monday, September 5, 2005, at 4:30 p.m., at the Shearer Cemetery with Bro. Buford Hadley officiating. Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was a daughter of the late Russell and Lela Shearer Melson, the widow of Eugene "Wob" Miller, and was a retired merchant operating Miller's Grocery for many years. Survivors include the following:
At Ms. Miller's request, instead of flowers, donations should be given to the Shearer Cemetery Fund. These may be left at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY 42728; or given to Creon Melson. Cremation has been chosen. There will be no visitation.
