Dedication and commitment won votes for Danette Hancock

By Ann Martin

I count it an honor and a privilege to present this year's Outstanding Business & Professional Woman of the Year to Danette Hancock. Her dedication and commitment to customer service as First & Farmers National Bank Vice President and Loan Officer makes her the perfect recipient for this award.

While working with Danette for the past 14 years, I have personally seen the work ethic that she possesses; and I constantly see the uncanny ability she has to work through challenging situations with a positive result for all clients involved. She has excellent rapport with her customers and wants to insure they have a good loan experience.

There have been many times within the past 14 years that Danette has been taking off for a much needed vacation and I have said to her: "Relax, Enjoy your time off, and DON'T ANSWER ANY CUSTOMER CALLS. Remember--You are on VACATION!" The response that I always get is "But Ann, a realtor or a customer may need me. I want to take care of them." (That is a direct quote.)

I constantly get compliments from her customers on how she has helped them. An email I received from a customer perhaps says it best: "Ann, I wanted to let you know that I had a wonderful experience with Danette on the recent mortgage that she helped me with. She is an extremely dedicated worker, responded promptly, answered my many questions, and was a joy to work with. Danette is a REAL GEM!!" That sums up the professionalism that Danette possesses. She is a true PROFESSIONAL!

We are so happy that Danette's husband, Ronnie, and her family could be with us tonight in congratulating Danette Hancock as the 2022 Columbia/Adair County Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business & Professional Woman of the Year!

Columbia Magazine has invited each one who introduced his or her favorite winner at the annual Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce banquet to share their words. CM hopes to have special notes about each and every nominee, in addition to those who won the votes in the eight categories.
