Awards presented at 2022 Chamber banquet There were lots of smiles when area business families who hadn't been able to get together in three years because of the COVID-19 Pandemic gathered for the 2022 annual Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce banquet Tuesday evening at Lindsey Wilson College. This was the first Chamber meeting in Cranmer Dining Center in those three years and it is hoped to be the first of many to come. In years past the meetings were held at lunchtime so members could enjoy a meal, business meeting, and get right back to work. The wide array of food choices from meats, vegetables and breads, to the expansive salad and dessert bars, have been missed. Singer/Songwriter Michael Webb, son of Dr. George and Elizabeth Webb, was the guest speaker. Before his musical presentation, he shared about his life growing up in Columbia and memories of many who influenced him toward a lifetime career in the music world. (His story will be printed separately from this report.) An asterisk is placed by the winner in each of the following categories showing all the nominees for the 2022 Chamber of Commerce annual awards.
