Bird sounds By Linda Waggener Birds begin choir practice outside my window about 5:30 each morning - a gentle, sweet wake-up alarm. At 5:30 this day, however, the gentle choir was dominated by one huge voice. It was such an unusually loud bird call at that hour of the morning I was reminded of an old high school joke: Do you know what a 500 pound canary says? What?
