COVID-19 numbers are rising in our counties

By Tracy Aaron, Health Education Director/PIO
Lake Cumberland District Health Department which serves the counties of
Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell and Wayne, KY

Unfortunately, COVID cases are rising again throughout the US, Kentucky and Lake Cumberland.

If you are eligible for a booster, this is the time to get it, or receive the primary series if you have not been vaccinated vet.

Many studies have shown that immunity from recent vaccination is better when encountering COVID variants than even previous COVID infection. The strain which is circulating now is very contagious, but so far is not producing more hospitalizations.

It's summer time! We all want to enjoy our families and outdoor activities. Take precautions now to protect your health and those you love.
