Lentha Walker Estes, 97, Green County, KY (1924-2022) Lentha Walker Estes of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Homer Otis Walker and Lula Mae Stearman Walker, was born Thursday, July 10, 1924 in Green County and departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was 97 years, 10 months, and 22 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Alvin Estes on January 9, 1942 who preceded her in death on December 18, 2016. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Willowdean and Charlie W. Elmore of Summersville; a son and daughter-in-law: Alvin Vernus and Jonell Estes of Summersville; three grandchildren: ReeShana and Mike Mitchell of Greensburg, Scott and Jackie Estes of Greensburg, and Steven Elmore of Louisville; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; 21 step-great-great-grandchildren; six sisters: Naomia Milby of Magnolia, Christine Creason of Buffalo, Zolla Mae Fussell of Louisville, Violetdean Druin of Buffalo, Lula Bell Bennett of Buffalo, Aridithan Cooper of Hodgenville; one brother: Marion Walker of Summersville She was preceded in death by two sisters: Beaulah Estes and Geneva Estes; three brothers: Eugene Walker, Junior Walker, and James Harvey Walker. The funeral services will be conducted at 2pmCT Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bloyd Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Mickey Pruitt officiating. Visitation is requested after 11 Sunday until time of the funeral service. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take form of donations to Bloyd Perkins Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
