Veterans banner project celebrated in special event A special Memorial Day Celebration to remember Veterans and announce the names of all who have had flags hung downtown was held Friday, May 27, 2022 in front of City Hall. Mayor, Pam Hoots gave the welcome and opening remarks. Presentation of Colors was done by VFW Post # 6097. Prayer was led by US Army Veteran, Aaron Labarge, Family Pastor, Columbia Baptist Church. The Pledge was led by Boy Scout Troop # 185. Remarks were given by retired Major US Marines, Paul Smith.
