Downey Eye Clinic expansion planned By Tiffany Collins, City of Columbia In an announcement from the City of Columbia, local business Downey Eye Clinic is planning an expansion. The expansion will include a new building for the optometry offices as well as additional professional office space. The expansion is planned for a location on North Highway 55 and is scheduled to start in the near future. "We appreciate Dr. Jacob Burton and his commitment to our community," said Mayor Pamela Hoots. Plans on the property, as well as the date for starting the build, will be announced in the near future.
