Filing Deadlines for non-partisan races is June 7

The deadline to file for the following non-partisan races for the General Election is 4pmCT on Tuesday, June 7, 2022:
  • Mayor
  • City Council
  • School Board---SD1 and SD3
  • Soil Conservation District
Paperwork may be picked up at the Adair County Clerk's Office, 424 Public Square, Ste 3, Columbia, or downloaded from SOS.ky.gov.


Whether you come in to pick up forms or print them from the Secretary of State's Website, the papers have to be filed with the Adair County Clerk's Office by 4pmCT on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Remember there are several forms that must be completed before you file, so please don't wait until the last minute.

The drawing for positions on the General Ballot for non-partisan candidates will be held at 2pmCT on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the Adair County Clerk's Office.

The lineup for all other candidates on the General Ballot will be Republicans first. This is decided by the party of the presidential candidate that received the most votes in Kentucky in the last Presidential Election.
