Danny Lynn Cowan, 71, Columbia, KY (1951-2022) Danny Lynn Cowan of Columbia died on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Norton Women and Children's Hospital in Louisville. He was 71 years old. Funeral services will be held at NoonCT on Friday, May 20, 2022, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Elbert Hadley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue on Friday morning until time for the service at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was born in Adair County, KY on January 24, 1951 to the late Clem and Ethel Lou Burton Cowan. Danny was active with Dare to Care and was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Donna Wayman Cowan of Columbia, KY; three children Charity Adkins of Columbia, KY, Jacob Greenwell (Stephanie) of Ponca City, OK and Michelle Cowan (Joseph Rose) of Cave City, KY; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren and two brothers Kenneth Cowan (Marlene) and Gilbert Cowan (Carolyn) both of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by ten siblings Elvin Cowan, Bennie Cowan, James Cowan, William Cowan, Kathleen Wilson, Margie Richards, Bertha Bohanan, Anna Francis Corbin, Pearslee Reece and Irene Cowan. Pallbearers will be Mike Cowan, Tyler Cowan, Carl Wilson, Matthew Vaught, Brett Woods, Wendell Houchens, Brian Cowan and Jason Cowan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Greenwell, Joseph Rose and Erica Callam. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
