Doris Hiser DeVore, 73, Metcalfe County, KY native

Doris Hiser DeVore age 73 of Glasgow, originally from the Center community of northern Metcalfe County, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at her home. She was born January 30, 1949 to the late James and Mary Eugenia Johnson Hiser. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert "Gil" DeVore.

Doris was a retired teacher and member of the South Green Church of Christ in Glasgow.



Doris is survived by her daughter Bethany DeVore of Smith Grove. Two grandchildren. Lakynn and Jaxyn Barbee.

Five sisters - Mary Helen Lawrence, Marcia Thacher (Dan), Linda McKinney, Margaret Wisdom (David) and Emily Bruton (Eric). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held 4pmCT Saturday, May 14, 2022 in the Chapel of Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2pmCT Saturday at the funeral home.

Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
