Bro. Irvin Milby, Jr., 85, Green Co., KY (1936-2022)

Bro. Irvin Milby, Jr. passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 85 years old.

Funeral services for Bro. Irvin Milby Jr. will be conducted at 10amCT on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Joe Milby, Bro. Odell Beauchamp, and Steve Milby officiating. Burial will follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday, April 29, 2022, and after 7amCT on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the funeral home.


Bro. Irvin Milby, Jr. was born October 15, 1936, in Green County, Kentucky to the late Irvin Milby Sr. and Mary Will Price Milby.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of South Summersville Baptist Church. He pastored several churches and served under the Southern Baptist Convention for 57 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death in 1986 by one son: Tim Milby. He is also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Hugh, John, Ray and Leonard Milby, Margie Milby, Christine Bloyd and Mary Lois Despain.

He was married December 28, 1957, to Lucille Vaughn Milby, who survives. He is also survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law: Joe and Jessica Milby of Summersville, Steve and Marilyn Milby of Frankfort, Kentucky, six grandchildren: Robert Milby, Thomas Milby and his wife Mariah, John Milby, all of Roanoke, Virginia, Jameson, Jonah and Jaisey Milby, all of Summersville, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Robert Milby, Thomas Milby, John Milby, Lex Milby, David Smith, Nick Fields

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund or to The Gideons Bible Fund. These can be made at the funeral home.
