Janes signs to play basketball at LWC By Jennifer Myers ACHS senior Luke Janes signed Tuesday, April 19 to play basketball at Lindsey Wilson College this fall. Luke's parents, Chris and Christina Janes, along with assistant coach Kalen Kimberland, head LWC basketball coach Chris Starks, and ACHS basketball coach Deron Breeze witnessed his signing. "Luke will go down as one of the most decorated players individually in Adair County history. Some of his individual accolades were being an all-district performer multiple times, one of the top rebounders in the state multiple times, all region this year and a 2A All State tournament performer. I don't know the exact number, but there are less than five players in the history of Adair County High School who have recorded 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds. Luke is one of those players. He did great things for athletics, not just basketball at Adair County. I look forward to seeing his success on the court at Lindsey Wilson," commented Coach Breeze. ACHS wishes Luke the best in his future at Lindsey Wilson College! This story was posted on 2022-04-22 06:52:49
